Instructions on dowloading your video

The following is a list of instructions to follow if you are having difficulty downloading your digital video you have purchased from ProPix.

Once you have received your email letting you know that your digital video is ready for download, you will need to use the link included in that email to access a web page with instructions on how to download your video to your computer. Below is an example email with the link we will use to gain access to our video.

Depending on the email program you have, you will have two options. The first is to left mouse click on the link and it should open a Internet browser window with the web page already loaded for you.

If your email program doesn't allow you to left mouse click the link, you will need to either select and copy it or type it in manually into your Internet browser program. To do this step you first need to open the program you use to go on the Internet with. This program most likely is called Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari.

Once you have the program opened you will see a place near the top of your screen where you can type in a web page address. This is the place you need to put the web page link you have in the email you received from ProPix. For our example the link is:

http://propix.com/video_orders/download_video.php?date_uploaded=2011-06-01&order_number=10011&video_filename=023 - BURGUNDY SHOES.m4v

Once you have made it to the web page you should have a web page that looks like the following image.

Once you see this page you will see the link to your video near the center. We have highlighted the link in the image below.

You now need to right mouse click the link on the web page. Make sure you right click and not left click. Once you right click you should see a menu come up similar to the image below.

When you see the menu come up you need to select the option to save the link to your computer. Depending on the browser you are using this may be worded slightly different. It should say something similar to “Save target as...” or “Save link as...”. When you click on that option a window should come up asking you what folder you would like to save your video to on your computer.

Once you click save it will download your video to your computer. To watch your video, you need to go to that folder that you saved your video to on your computer and double click the video. It should start playing.
